In addition, the BMA will work on building collaborations among churches and community organizations so that together they can effect positive change in the lives of the youth and families of Boston’s neighborhoods.  Not only with this increase the effectiveness of the social ministries and programs, it will give them the sustainability they need to provide these services for the long term.

Under David’s leadership, the BMA will also continue assisting local faith-based and community-based organizations to build capacity through the Boston Capacity Tank.  Through the Tank, a flagship initiative funded by the federal governments Compassion Capital Fund, BMA and its partners have provided millions of dollars of capacity-building assistance including grants and workshops to faith- and community-based organizations.

Before becoming executive director of BMA in 2007, David served as the BMA’s Deputy Director.  Prior to that, he served as the executive director of the African American Federation of Greater Boston, Inc.  A graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School, his works experience includes clerking for the Honorable David S.
